Frequently Asked Questions:

Q - Is the Rooftop open?

A - The rooftop is available for guests to check out and enjoy a beverage up there. We currently don't have a bartender staffed on a regular basis, however, feel free to grab a drink at the main bar and bring it up.

Q - Can I bring food on the rooftop?

A - The rooftop is meant for relaxing and taking-in the gorgeous Milwaukee weather (as long as Mother Nature allows for it), but if you'd like to grab some food then you can feel free to enjoy your lunch or dinner in our taproom or on our beer garden.

Q - Beer garden?!? Tell me about that!

A - If you'd like to enjoy food and/or drinks outside on our beer garden and patio areas, please talk to our host and they'll be happy to assist you with ordering. All ordering is done via QR codes that are geo-tagged to specific tables so when you order anything to eat or drink then one of our servers will bring it out to the table where the host sat you. These tables are on a first come, first serve basis and we do not take reservations for outdoor seating. We encourage you to bring your friends and family to drink a beer with you outside but we please ask that you do not move any tables while doing so.

Q - Your food is so great and such large portions! If I'm eating in the beer garden, how do I get to-go boxes?

A - Great question! If you need any to-go boxes, additional silverware, napkins, condiments, or water, please see the host and they can help you with any of those items.

Q - Can I buy a 4-pack of beer and drink it in the beer garden?

A - We appreciate you asking, but unfortunately this is not allowed. Buying 4-packs and 6-packs are meant to be drank at home, at a friend's house, or doing a fun outdoor activity!

Q - Do you accept cash?

A - We are a cashless business but do accept credit cards and Apple Pay. If you'd like to leave cash for your server or bartender to show your gratitude for a job well done, then that's fine by us.

Q - The brewery is huge! Can I make a large reservation or rent-out any or all of the space?

A - Yes, yes, yes! We've hosted wedding ceremonies, receptions, holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, baby showers, concerts, speed dating events, company happy hours, birthday parties, and we've even had some couples get engaged here! Basically, if you're looking to have a private or semi-private event anywhere from 2 people to 350 people, we can chat and make it work. Please reach out to MKEevents@pilotprojectbrewing.com if you want to get more details about availability and food & beverage options.

Q - What about regular reservations? Do you accept those?

A - Absolutely! You can place reservations online via Tock here. Upon finalizing a reservation you'll be sent an email confirmation along with some company policies as well. Reservations with eight or more guests will have their bill on one tab. Groups of six or more are subject to a 20% gratuity. If you are more than 15 minutes late from your reservation time without notifying the restaurant or updating your reservation online, then your reservation is not guaranteed.

Q - If I made a reservation for six people but now there are actually 12, can you accommodate this?

A - Short answer: maybe. It depends on whether or not we have tables available to accommodate. Our staff does our best to make things work out but we don't know ahead of time if the restaurant will be packed or not. With that being said, it's always good to call to make sure we can adjust the reservation and make room.

Q - Our plans changed and me and 26 others are coming in now for dinner. Is this going to be a problem?

A - Again, we will try and accommodate all groups but whether or not a group of that size will be seated depends on the day of the week, the time, whether we have other reservations, and other factors. Unfortunately for large groups without a reservation we simply can't have everyone standing around a table or gathering at the bar as this is a restaurant and we are not designed for this situation as it this impacts how our staff can attend to to other guests at tables and it could negatively impact the dining experience of other guests who are sitting at nearby tables. A good rule of thumb is to always call ahead to see if we're able to accommodate.

We're a test kitchen for brewers. You'll find everything from crazy Tea IPAs, to funky hard kombucha, to tried-and-true American Lagers. With up to 24 taps, our brewers have plenty of room to flex.
